Bangor Media LLC provides website design, development, hosting, SEO, marketing, and related digital services to clients throughout Maine and beyond.
By accessing our website or entering into a service agreement with us, you acknowledge and agree to these terms.

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time without prior notice. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.

2. Use of Our Website

You may browse our website freely for information, but you agree not to:

  • Copy, reproduce, or redistribute content without permission

  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or databases

  • Use our website in any way that could cause damage or interfere with others’ access

Any misuse of this website may result in restricted access and possible legal action.

3. Intellectual Property

All content, graphics, code, and materials on this site are the property of Bangor Media LLC unless otherwise noted.
Client logos, trademarks, and content displayed are used with permission and remain the property of their respective owners.

You may not use, copy, or modify any Bangor Media intellectual property without written consent.

4. Client Ownership of Work

When we build a website or deliver digital materials for a client:

  • You (the client) own your website design, content, and assets once your account is paid in full.

  • We do not retain ownership of your site or data.

  • You have full rights to migrate, download, or modify your site at any time.

Bangor Media may retain a copy of design files or backups for reference and portfolio purposes unless otherwise requested in writing.

5. Payments and Billing

All services are billed as agreed upon in your project proposal, quote, or subscription plan.

  • Web Design / Setup Fees: Due before work begins unless otherwise specified.

  • Monthly Services (Hosting, SEO, Social, etc.): Billed automatically each month on the date of signup.

  • Late Payments: Accounts past due by more than 15 days may result in service suspension until payment is received.

We do not charge hidden fees. Any additional costs (e.g., third-party plugins, domains, ad budgets) will be communicated clearly before purchase.

6. Cancellations

You may cancel at any time with written notice.
There are no long-term contracts for hosting, SEO, or management services.

Once canceled, hosting or live services will be disabled at the end of the current billing cycle. You may request a full site export at any time.

7. Refund Policy

All setup and design fees are non-refundable once work has started.
Monthly service fees (hosting, SEO, social media, or ad management) are billed in advance and are non-refundable for the current billing period.

We’re confident in what we deliver — if you’re not satisfied, we’ll work with you to make it right.

8. Third-Party Tools and Services

We may use third-party platforms (e.g., Google, Meta, WordPress, plugins, APIs) to deliver services.
We are not responsible for interruptions, bugs, or changes to those services beyond our control.

Clients are responsible for adhering to third-party terms of use (e.g., Google Ads, Facebook policies, etc.).

9. Hosting and Technical Support

Our hosting plans include uptime monitoring, SSL, daily backups, and routine maintenance.
While we take every reasonable precaution, we are not liable for outages or data loss caused by factors outside our control (e.g., server failure, third-party updates, or force majeure events).

We maintain secure servers and respond promptly to support issues reported through official channels.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bangor Media LLC is not liable for:

  • Lost profits, revenue, or data

  • Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

  • Downtime caused by third-party vendors, hosts, or platforms

Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the total amount paid for services in the three (3) months preceding the claim.

11. Confidentiality

We treat all client data, credentials, and project details as confidential.
We will not share, sell, or disclose your information to any third party unless required by law or authorized by you in writing.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maine, United States.
Any disputes shall be resolved in the appropriate courts within Penobscot County, Maine.
